Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are selling their rustic retreat half an hour outside Nashville, Tennessee, country music capital of the world.

The A-list actress and her country singer-songwriter husband have put the house in 36 acres on the market at £2.5 million, having paid £1.8 million for it in 2007.

The design is open plan, with four bedrooms and a master suite with walk-in wardrobe — which Kidman no doubt uses to store her frocks for red carpet appearances. The lower ground floor has an entertainment den, fitness room, a small office and a terrace. A separate cottage in the grounds is ideal for guests.

Kidman and Urban, who have two young daughters — the actress also has an adopted son and daughter from her former marriage to Tom Cruise — are shaking up their portfolio after buying a New York City townhouse for £29.2 million recently. They own another Nashville home as well as a place in Beverly Hills and one in lower Manhattan’s West Chelsea.
