A new £200 tasting menu from the world-famous Welsh restaurant Ynyshir will be available on Uber Eats next month.

Chef-owner Gareth Ward has developed a ten-course menu for the delivery app, with dishes such as hot and sour crab soup, BBQ lobster claw, and A5 rib-eye steak.

Ynyshir, in north Wales, holds two Michelin-stars and has been twice named the UK’s best restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards

It is considered to be one of the best in the world thanks to Ward’s 30-course tasting menu, which spans up to five hours. The dining room is lit up by a glitterball and a DJ plays live in the corner.

Ynyshir will be the first to partner with Uber Eats’ new “Uber Eats Hosts” series, available for delivery to app users in London on December 6, 7, and 8 (with Uber One users being able to access it on December 5). An optional wine pairing — including an excellent Riesling and a Syrah from the Napa Valley — has been created too and will cost £50.

“This is a mega exciting project,” said Ward. “It’s quite different to what we usually do and something unique for us to pull off. Just a cool idea that has not been done before.

“We have created a flavour driven menu using the best ingredients, a load of filthy good food that you cannot get anywhere else. Here’s your chance to get signature Ynyshir dishes delivered right to your door in London.”

Matthew Price, from Uber Eats, added: “We want to bring the nation’s most loved restaurants to your doorstep and it doesn’t get much better than this. We hope that our customers enjoy this unique chance to sample an extraordinary restaurant from the comfort of their own home.”

The tasting menu, a shorter but similar one to those served at Ynyshir, has been designed for two people to share. The courses are as follows:

  • Duck leg rillette sando, duck liver, miso cured egg yolk
  • How and sour crab soup, deep fried bun
  • BBQ lobster claw and tail, satay
  • BBQ black cod, N25 caviar
  • Chicken katsu, carrot slaw, sushi rice
  • Charsui pork ribs
  • Slow-cooked Welsh lamb neck, cherry BBQ sauce
  • A5 ribeye, black bean
  • White chocolate, black bean
  • Difference coffee blue mountain, tiramisu

Available to Uber One users on December 6, and everyone else on the app over December 7&8.
