In the scheme of things Huong Viet is leaving the first stage (it is the canteen of the Vietnamese Cultural Centre but in March it went through a major refurbishment and now looks posh and clean as opposed to clean and shabby). Foodies say that the food is more authentic and better here than anywhere else. Everyone is rather nervous, and hoping that success and refurbishment do not change things. That way it can still be the kind of secret that you are proud to share with other foodies.
