What: Paneer wrap

Where from: £4.50/wrap, Carom, 100 Wardour Street, W1 (caromsoho.com)

Taste assessment: The wrap is a delicate Indian roti bread that feels lighter than the usual flour tortilla used to make up a burrito. And it doesn’t leak! Inside, you have the fruity crunch of pomegranate which gives way to pieces of meaty Portobello mushroom and mild, crumbly paneer (cottage) cheese. After a few bites, you sense a slight tingling from the pickling spices. Overall I enjoyed the pleasant assortment of textures and flavours — I hope they can keep up with demand.
