Thousands of adults will be able “to feel like kids again” when the world’s biggest inflatable obstacle course arrives in the capital.

CBeebies TV presenter Alex Winters will be bringing the Gung-Ho! Serious Fun 5K challenge to Brixton’s Brockwell Park in March. He expects more than 5,000 people to tackle the series of 10 adult-sized inflatable obstacles including ball pits, a climbing wall and “gauntlet”.

Winters devised the course three years ago while watching television with his three children. He now expects the London launch to raise thousands for charity after 80,000 took up the challenge last year around the UK.

He said: “I have no doubt Londoners will be well up for what is a unique, fun-filled event. It is a chance for adults to feel like kids again, and kids to show the adults what they are made of.”

The course uses enough air to inflate more than 100 million footballs and includes the five-storey Thriller challenge comprising a 200ft “wet and wild” slide.

Winters organised a 13-event tour last year but this is the first time Gung Ho! has been to London.

Tickets cost £31 until January 16, when they increase in price ahead of the launch on March 25. For more information go to begung-ho.co.uk.
