A three-day toy trade show for children has opened at the ExCel Centre over October half term.

Kidtropolis will see YouTubers, bands, and Angry Birds take to the stage at the event, where children can also go aboard the Gamers Bus, trampoline and join a Play-Doh workshop.

Kidtropolis co-founder Gemma Gallagher told the Standard: “It’s a fantastic family event over October half term.

“We created the event because we realised there was nothing else like it in the UK and that there was a definite need for parents and children to be able to come to a sort of trade show, but for consumers.

At the ExCel Centre: Meet the Angry Birds

“We wanted to put something together where children could meet character mascots, they could play on things [like] bouncy castles and trampolines, and be children.

“We just wanted to put everything under one roof where parents and children can come and have a great time together.

“Probably the highlights are the Transformers truck, the My Little Pony bus experience, and we’ve also got the live stage.”

Kidtropolis takes place at the ExCel Centre from October 25 to 27, 2016.
