The Berkeley relaunches rooftop cinema to see Londoners through winter

Get through January in high style
Classics: the winter terrace will screen the likes of Some Like It Hot and Notting Hill

Upmarket London hotel The Berkeley has relaunched its winter terrace to see Londoners through winter.

The cosy area will screen the likes of Bridget Jones’s Diary, Some Like It Hot and Notting Hill every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until February 12. There will be two screenings each evening; some at 5pm and one at 7.30pm, and guests will watch from wooden chalet-style cabins.

Besides the films, the rooftop will offer hot chocolate, mulled wine, champagne and small bites to eat, including mini-shepherd’s pies.

If the little terrace is too busy The Berkeley, a sister hotel of Claridge’s and The Connaught, has celebrity-favourite The Blue Bar downstairs, and also Marcus, the two-michelin starred restaurant from – you guessed it – Marcus Wareing.

Wareing, who is also a judge on Masterchef: The Professionals, ripped the Standard apart when we attempted to cook for him. Watch it here.
