If you’re looking for ways to keep your little bunnies entertained this Easter weekend, then you can’t beat an egg hunt for sugar-fuelled excitement.

From chocolate-centric sleuthing to literary-themed escapades, here are the London egg hunts you should be hopping your way round this Easter.

Cadbury’s Easter Egg Hunts with National Trust

Chocolate connoisseurs Cadbury’s are yet again bringing their egg hunts to over 250 National Trust locations across the country. In London, you can track them down at Fenton House (Hampstead), Ham House (Richmond), Morden Hall Park (Morden), Osterley Park (Isleworth), Rainham Hall (Havering), Red House (Bexleyheath) and Sutton House (Hackney).

March 30 – April 2, from £2 admission, various locations, easter.cadbury.co.uk

East Village, Stratford

Dig out your ruby slippers for this one, as East Village in Stratford will be hosting a Wizard of Oz-themed hunt. Kids can kick off their trail by meeting Dorothy, who will send them on their way around the neighbourhood. Searching through the area’s emerald green spaces for chocolate eggs, families will encounter the lion, the tin man and the scarecrow – as well the wicked witch of the west.

Lindt Gold Bunny hunt at Hampton Court

So it’s not technically an egg hunt, but a quest to find a Lindt Gold Bunny is a more than worthy charge. At Hampton Court Palace, families can hunt down the tasty treat while discovering the history of sweet-toothed kings and queens. Visit the 18th century Chocolate Kitchen, decorate a ceramic chocolate cup and meet Georgian Queen Caroline, before getting your hands on your very own golden bunny.

March 26 – April 15, included in admission, East Molesey, KT8 9AU; hrp.org.uk

Bluebird

Chelsea institution: the courtyard at Bluebird

Easter is your bank holiday too, so Bluebird is mixing their egg hunt with something for the grown-ups. Those heading to the Chelsea hotspot for brunch can bring their little ones to the courtyard to track down the elusive Easter eggs, before adults can retire to their table (or the cocktail bar) to celebrate their winnings.

April 1, tickets for egg hunt from £10, bluebird-restaurant.co.uk

Battersea Park Zoo

Your little bunnies won’t be the only cute critters on this Easter trail. Battersea Park Zoo is hiding its Easter eggs all across its resident animal’s enclosures over the bank holiday weekend. Get a quiz sheet and keep note of what animals are harbouring the coveted colourful eggs, before picking up a prize at the end.

March 30 – April 2, from £1.50 plus admission, batterseaparkzoo.co.uk
