Muggle Londoners, grab your wands, hop on your broomsticks and prepare for a trip to Oxford, as they’ve officially caught the title of host for this year’s British Quidditch Cup.

A total of 32 teams will gather on March 24 and 25 to partake in the largest Harry Potter-based sporting event in the country.

With the UK boasting more than 800 players nation-wide, Quidditch has quickly turned from a fantasy sport to a national bloodbath. Chasers, beaters and keepers will work tirelessly to score points, defend their posts, catch the snitch and claim the Championship Cup. Oh, and they’ll have to do it while keeping a broom between their legs the whole time. Ouch.

The 2017 winners, the Oxford Chimeras, will seek to defend their title in their home against teams like the Norwich Nifflers, Leicester Thestrals and Holyrood Hippogriffs. Let’s hope the Death Eaters don’t storm this tournament like they did in Harry's fourth year.
