Wayne Bridge has left the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here jungle – and reckons he’s going to be in for some jokes about his time on the show.

The former England footballer had a few emotional moments in the series, missing his wife Frankie and kids.

“In the beginning I found it really hard,” he admitted to Ant and Dec.

“I spend every day with the kids and the missus.”

He added: “I’ll probably get ripped when I come out of here for crying, but it is what it is.”

“I can’t believe the way I’ve acted in [the jungle], emotionally - crying on TV.

“Jordan [Banjo] going [home], that hit me. Larry [Lamb], I was devastated he’s gone. He taught me so much in there. He’s a top guy.”

Despite the emotional rollercoaster, Bridge said his time on the show was “a pleasure”.

“I didn’t expect to have such a good time,” he said, adding: “I didn’t expect it to be so hard. I feel drained.”

Bridge was sent home in a double eviction alongside Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts, who has been a divisive figure in camp.

While the pair didn’t always see eye to eye, Bridge said: “Martin’s harmless. The way he started off was hard for him, I felt really sorry for him because he felt he was being bullied.”
