Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas has hailed this year’s line-up as “marvellous” now that all 15 celebrities have been confirmed.

On Tuesday, Susannah Constantine and Charles Venn were unveiled as the final two contestants for the upcoming series, meaning that the full star-studded cast has now been revealed.

And head judge Ballas, who took over from Len Goodman last year, hailed the “diverse group” of famous faces and said she was “excited to see them all perform”.

Ballas, 57, told the Press Association: “The full line up has now been announced and I have to say I think it's marvellous.

"I think everybody is in for a real treat, it's a very diverse group and I'm so excited to get going and I'm sure the audience is excited to be watching, so this season is definitely one to tune into.”

The new batch of celebrities includes campaigner Katie Piper, cricketer Graeme Swann, Blue frontman Lee Ryan, Steps star Faye Tozer and former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts.

Joining them on the Elstree dance floor will be This Morning presenter Dr Ranj Singh, Paralympian Lauren Steadman, YouTuber Joe Sugg, comedian Seann Walsh, broadcaster Kate Silverton, actor Danny John-Jules, DJ Vick Hope and presenter Stacey Dooley.

The celebrities – who all had different cheeses as code names this year – will face a nervous wait to find out who their partner will be at the end of the month, although fans have vowed to "switch off" after the full line-up was confirmed .

Ballas will return to her role alongside fellow judges Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Dame Darcey Bussell for the flagship BBC show.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One next month.
