Game of Thrones fans were shocked as Robin Arryn returned during the finale and looked incredibly different to his last appearance on the show.

Lord Arryn, played by Lino Facioli, popped up in the final episode in the show’s history during a meeting at King’s Landing to decide the new ruler of the Six Kingdoms.

But Robin looked a little different to how he did when he was first in the show, in which he was mostly seen clinging to his mother – often at her breast - before her death in season four.

Fans were quick to comment on his “glow up”, with many comparing the transformation to Neville Longbottom – a.k.a Matthew Lewis – in Harry Potter.

One wrote: “Robin Arryn straight up longbottomed us #GameOfThrones.”

Another said: “Can we talk about Robin Arryn for a second? Like holy s*** his mama’s milk really worked lol.”

“The best plot twist of season 8 was Robin Arryn glowing the f*** up.....never said one bad word about him he's my son,” laughed somebody else.

Weeks after the coffee cup debacle, fans noticed a plastic water bottle in shot next to Samwell Tarly just as Tyrion was hauled in front of the surviving rulers.

Social media was quickly awash with eagle-eyed viewers sharing their observations, joking that the bottle should have become king.

Broadcaster HBO has yet to respond to the latest drinks gaffe, which comes weeks after a coffee cup crashed into view during the Battle of Winterfell celebrations.
