Reality star Eyal Booker has revealed exactly what the Love Island contestants are up to in the hours before a new series kicks off.

Booker, who found fame on the popular show last year, recalled the “lockdown” period before the show gets going, and joked that it’s like a “mini holiday” before they get cut off from the outside and assigned their own chaperone.

“Lockdown is pretty much a nice little holiday before you go in, you get your phone taken away and you’ve got to say good bye to your family and friends,” he told The Sun Online.

“It definitely comes in waves, one minute you’re super excited, the next your freaking out a little because you’re about to go on this show.

“It’s not like you’re locked in a room for seven days and you’re just in your own head. You’re very much able to discuss your concerns and things like that.”

Booker, 23, described the experience as “daunting but nice” and said you have to “trust yourself and go in there and be true to yourself”.
