Sam Quek has left the I’m A Celebrity jungle – with Scarlett Moffatt, Joel Dommett, and Adam Thomas heading into the final.

The Olympic hockey player lasted 22 days in the camp, but just lost out on a place in the top three.

“It’s been unbelievable,” Quek said, who won a gold medal in Rio earlier this year.

“To end 2016 like this, just getting on the show let alone being in the top four, has been surreal. I’m so humbled.”

Quek admitted that the show was “a lot tougher” than she thought he would be, but added: “Being in the jungle, I’ve learned lessons about myself that I would never have learned anywhere else.”

She also said her competitive edge as a sportsperson didn’t wane on I’m A Celeb.

“When I lost that task to adam I was mortified,” Quek confessed. “It took me a few days to get over that.

“That was another lesson I learned – you’re not going to win everything.”

Now the vote is open for fans to crown the king or queen of the jungle in the last episode of the 2016 series.

The results of which are due to be revealed on Sunday December 4.

Last year’s show saw Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison take the top prize.
