Gemma Collins has threatened to take "legal action" after a viewer criticised her manicure on Celebs Go Dating.

In a recent episode of the reality show, TOWIE star Collins was seen having her nails painted at a salon.

But fan of the show Claire Wenborne posted on Facebook that the manicure wasn’t being done properly and that Collins’ nails were "shocking".

“Not sure if anyone else does this but I was watching Celebs Go Dating and Gemma is having her nails done but they are shocking and the tech[nician] isn’t even holding her fingers, this are rested on the lamp!” she wrote.

“Is it just me or is that just odd?”

Her comments provoked a furious response from Collins who shared the post on her Instagram page with a lengthy caption.

“Every day inaccurate stuff gets written about me that’s my job … but when it affects my friends and is inaccurate that’s when I get involved… This is FALSE some silly Facebook page…” she ranted.

“These nails were NOT done @nailsatstudio4! If it continues LEGAL ACTION will be taken so remove . They were painted over for a quick scene!

“Peeps you all need to get more going on in ya day to day… Whoever done them they did their best and that’s good enough for me … everyone has to learn and start somewhere and the girl who did do them was very sweet and she tried her best x.”

New TV shows to look forward to in 2018

Collins’ time on E4 series Celebs Go Dating certainly hasn’t been plain sailing.

She walked out of a date due to her match’s choice of drink, stood up a suitor who wanted to take her on a first-class trip to Paris due to bad traffic, and received several telling offs from experts Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman.

Celebs Go Dating continues Wednesday, February 28 at 9pm on E4.
