Gemma Collins' Dancing On Ice exit: TOWIE star snaps at 'confusing' Ashley Banjo before getting the boot

The star scored just 15.5 from the judges

Gemma Collins snapped at Dancing On Ice judge Ashley Banjo minutes before she was booted off of the skating competition after the judges voted unanimously to save Ryan Sidebottom.

The Only Way Is Essex star burst into tears last week after a fall in a prior performance rocked her confidence.

This latest outburst also comes just weeks after she had a spat with judge Jason Gardiner, who previously labelled her a "brat".

Last week she received her highest score in the series with a 16.5 but on Sunday night she struggled to replicate that form and achieved 15.5, which saw her bottom of the scoreboard.

But after seeing the low scores from the judges, Collins admitted that she was baffled by what she had to do to impress the panel.

She said: “The judges are confusing me right now because you did say come back this week and it doesn’t matter. You said Ashley, you’re better off crying than not doing and I really held onto that this week.

After this, frequent critic Gardiner told her she is not “anywhere near” the standard she needs to be.

He said: “This is a competition and comparatively you’re just not anywhere near. In moments where you were just standing and doing choreography, you were out of time and the choreography was lamely executed.

“We’re week six and towards the final stretch and I need more from you. It’s not enough to say to me ‘I’m having a great time’. I want to see you improve.

Collins, who danced to Survivor by Destiny's Child, said: “I’m just trying my best.”

The TOWIE diva was later eliminated after a skate-off with last week’s survivor Sidebottom, being forced to perform again for the judges.

But, taking it all in her stride, Collins told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that it was "time to bow out gracefully" as the competition heads towards its final weeks.

"I just want to bow out gracefully, it’s time to let them all go on. I wish them all the best of luck, they’re working so hard," the 38-year-old said.

She added that she had "enjoyed working on her fitness" and revealed she had promised to buy partner Matt Evers a Gucci handbag for sticking by her.
