Gemma Collins BLASTS Jason Gardiner in scathing Dancing on Ice rant: ‘Don’t sell stories on me!’

The GC was having none of it

Gemma Collins couldn’t resist hitting out at judge Jason Gardiner, accusing him of “selling stories” on her after he attempted to criticise her performance on Dancing on Ice.

The TOWIE star left Gardiner looking red-faced after she slammed the Australian choreographer following his comments on the star’s skating ability.

Gardiner declared Collins “lazy and mediocre” following her first performance of Beyonce’s Crazy in Love on the show.

However, Collins was having none of it as she channelled her inner Marilyn Monroe with her performance of Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend with professional partner Matt Evers on Sunday night.

After scoring Collins a mere three points, Gardiner criticised the star for her “lack of elegance”.

He said: “Gemma I know you were channelling Marilyn but we ended up with Anna Nicole Smith. That was because there wasn’t any elegance. She’s a woman that’s in control of her femininity, you were all over the place.

“You need to up the anti because we’re not going to see any big lifts from you [and] we’re not going to get any impressive moves.”

Collins hit back: “Can I just say one thing? Maybe if you didn’t sell stories on me, maybe I wouldn’t have been so upset this week. So take that. Boring. Next. Don’t sell stories on me. Don’t sell stories on me. Please don’t sell stories on me.”

Holly Willoughby appeared to mock Collins' outburst as she introduced Melody Thornton, leaving Phillip Schofield in hysterics. "Well it is time for the final skating star of the night and it's our Pussycat Doll," she said.

"Lets get the inside story as she skates to a song from West Side Story - nobody sold that story that's for sure."

The comments come after Gardiner savaged the star in an interview over the weekend.

He told the Sun: “I can always see who’s lazy. Gemma is lazy. She doesn’t look like her heart is in it at all. I do despair at the state of our society today and also the entertainment industry.

“When I grew up people were bloody good at what they did. They were exceptional at something, so you were inspired by people on TV.

“Now we celebrate mediocre in this country. That, it seems, has become the new celebrity.”

He went on to declare her debut performance on the ice as “one of the most painful routines ever”, adding that he was “genuinely worried” she would fall.

Collins also admitted that reports she has been “unprofessional” during her time on the show “really knocked her confidence”, making it difficult for the star to “get much done.”

Despite Gardiner’s comments, Collins gained the backing of the public on Sunday night as she secured her spot in next week’s live show while Richard Blackwood was sent home.

Dancing on Ice is on ITV, Sunday at 6pm
