You get everything on the BBC. From factual entertainment to high drama to soap opera.

Even as your strait-laced Auntie, the Beeb occasionally pushes the boundaries of television shows, adding in the unexpected with no holds barred.

We’ve seen hate sex in Doctor Foster, peachy posteriors in The Night Manager and well, everything, in French drama Versailles.

And as another series prepares to leave you flustered, here are five of the raunchiest dramas on the BBC….

Wanderlust

We know we know, don’t start a list on a forthcoming drama. But we are, because this is set to be the raunchiest show yet, full of sex scenes including solo sex.

Speaking at the press launch, lead star Toni Colette – who plays Joy Richards – revealed that she had to make the numerous sex scenes “feel real” because it is “such a natural part of life”.

Wanderlust follows Colette’s character as she tries to save her fast-failing marriage to Alan, played by Mackintosh, after a cycling accident leaves them reassessing their romance.

The upcoming series also stars Zawe Ashton, William Ash, Sophie Okonedo and Paul Kay among its cast.

Doctor Foster

The drama, penned by Mike Barlett, got very intimate in series two when Gemma Foster – played by Suranne Jones – and Bertie Carvel’s Simon Foster channelled their aggression through “hate sex”.

The scenes saw them stripped down to their underwear in the kitchen before having sex, leaving viewers in disbelief and a) the graphic scenes, b) the fact son Tom could hear everything and c) why Gemma would sleep with her conniving ex.

Versailles

The steamy French drama set in the 17th century dramatizes Louis XIV’s decision to relocate his court from Paris to Versailles with the upcoming series to focus on the King’s affair with Madame de Maintenon.

Aired on BBC Two, the programme – which has reportedly been axed – doesn’t shy away from explicit content in each episode, often seeing characters getting down and dirty.

The Night Manager

Romp: Tom Hiddleston left little to the imagination
BBC

Viewers were left hot under the collar at the sight of lead star Tom Hiddleston’s bare bottom during a steamy romp with Jed Marshall, played by Elizabeth Debicki.

In the scene, which won Hiddleston Rear of the Year in 2016, his character Jonathan Pine pushed Marshall up against the wall in their secret tryst.

Bodyguard

Currently airing on BBC One, Bodyguard follows Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes) as British Home Secretary and her personal protection officer, war veteran David Budd (Richard Madden).

Despite being at opposite ends of the political spectrum, the two became tangled up in their own desires and feelings leading to the steamy clinches.

The second episode saw the pair make love twice, with their attraction to each other undeniable.
