Danny Dyer will enter the Love Island villa to meet his daughter’s boyfriend and loves being mentioned on the show, according to his wife Joanne Mas.

Dyer and Mas’ eldest daughter Dani is currently appearing in ITV2 hit and has found love with Kent-born Jack Fincham, who she coupled up with on day one.

With Dani and Jack widely considered as one of the strongest couples, many tip them to go all the way to the final weeks. Traditionally in the final weeks, the parents of contestants enter the villa to share their thoughts on the series.

And, after much speculation, Mas has confirmed that Dyer, who is a big fan of the mentions he receives on the show, will happily head into the Majorcan villa.

Speaking on Thursday’s This Morning, Mas said: “Yes! He would do a cameo on that show - he’d love that.

“He laughed [when it emerged Jack has a poster of the actor]. We were both laughing. Danny likes being mentioned on that show.”

Earlier this week, Jack’s ex Ellie Jones, who is also on the show, revealed to Dani that the pen salesman has a poster from one of Dyer’s films on his bedroom wall, leaving her unsure what to think.

And Dyer has proved he is serious about his cameo, writing on Twitter: “Right...I’m off to the villa...to sign my future son in laws canvas....lovely.”

During the interview, Mas also explained to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that they both approve of Dani’s boyfriend, and that she can tell her daughter likes him because she “panics”.

Mas said: “I do think she made the right connection. The first time I saw him [Jack] on the telly, I was thinking he really is Dani’s type he’s so funny and so warm. And then there was a little bit of a wobble and I was thinking don’t worry about it… You could see her panicking but Dani panics anyway.

“Danny really likes Jack but I think Danny, when he does meet Jack, big Danny, I think he will probably cry, ‘You’ve took my child away from me’. He’s really possessive.

“I know she really does like him because she keeps panicking and she does panic if she likes something that it is all going to go wrong. She does like him, I know she does.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV. Love Island continues Thursday at 9pm on ITV2.
