However, having spent the afternoon out, he has missed his scheduled court appearance in Gary Windass’ attack case and he is soon arrested for breaching his bail conditions.

In a courageous move Ramsey confronts Tucker warning him that she is aware he is a rapist and promises to get him sentenced for his actions.

Actress Julia Goulding, who plays Ramsey, said: “Shona is running around Weatherfield looking for him, until she finds him in the urban garden. She thinks David is sad about his court date, but he blurts out to her that he has been raped by Josh.

"The truth hits Shona like a brick wall and she's incredibly angry with Josh. They were really emotional scenes to film. Jack and I really get on and we usually have a laugh when the cameras aren't rolling, but it was a very sombre environment.

"The crew were amazing and gave us space and time, because with such raw emotional material, you need something that is very real. I am looking forward to seeing the scenes."
