Chris Evans’ adorable twins made their television debut as they joined their dad on James Martin’s Saturday Morning At Christmas.

The former BBC Radio 2 Breakfast host dropped by the festive kitchen to whip up some tasty treats and chat about his career, as well as two new arrivals in his life.

And, on Saturday, the three-month-old boys will make their TV debut as they get a cuddle from Martin on his self-titled morning show.

Evans, meanwhile, insists that he has “no complaints” after bidding farewell to Radio 2 after 13 years, opting to return to Virgin Radio.

He told Martin: “The BBC is a marvellous and wonderful place and I thank them for everything. I have no complaints whatsoever.

“I had an amazing time there - to take over Terry’s [Wogan] show was such an honour and such a treat. I survived it and lived to tell the tale. I can see bright, bright sunshine, I can see blue, blue skies and I can’t wait to get to Virgin Radio.”

Evans then recalled advice from the late, great presenter saying “not to wait until you only have the option of a wrong time to go”.

In an emotional speech, he said: “I'm leaving Radio 2 and since I decided this, which has been a conversation I have been having with my nearest and dearest since last year, a few weeks ago I made my mind up for sure.

"During that conversation it was pointed out that I had been here for 13 years and that’s a long time and I’ve been on the breakfast show for eight years which is also a long time.

“A brilliant time, a great time and I’ve loved every single minute of it. Some of us are mountain climbers and if you get to the top of your favourite mountain and you stay there, you’re just an observer.

"And I’ve got to keep climbing so I’m going to go and go again. I’m going to go and go again and start up on a brand new adventure.”

Evans will be replaced by DJ and It takes Two host Zoe Ball from January.
