Celebrity Big Brother 2017: James Cosmo loses it with Jedward over ‘stolen’ chocolate in secret task

The Scottish actor lost his composure – but was it all part of a game?

James Cosmo has largely been an amiable presence in the Celebrity Big Brother house - but the Scottish actor seemed to lose his cool in an incident involving ‘stolen’ chocolate.

The 68 year-old swore and stormed around the house after his chocolate bar went missing, blaming its disappearance on Jedward.

While the X Factor duo denied taking his food, Cosmo discovered the remnants of the bar in their locker.

“Has anyone seen the chocolate that was under my pillow?” he asked calmly, before escalating: “For f**** sake, honestly.

“I b*****, ach… no, I flaming do all the… ach, f*** it.”

If the outburst seemed out of character for the placid housemate, who earned himself permanent immunity from nominations, that’s because it was all on purpose.

In fact, Cosmo hid the chocolate himself in an effort to be as argumentative and stoke up as much controversy in the house as possible.

His behaviour was part of a secret mission to disrupt the rest of the house.

Also in on the task was Kim Woodburn – though neither her or Cosmo are aware of each other’s duties.

The task comes ahead of the latest eviction, which will be the last one before a winner is revealed on Friday, February 3.
