Brendan Cole has denied he has been arguing with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Anastacia.

Cole has spoken out after becoming frustrated at rumours of bust-ups with his ‘strong-minded’ celebrity partner, insisting that they ‘get along very, very well’.

Writing in his column for Digital Spy, Cole said: “We've definitely had some conversations, I won't lie about that.

“I think we're both two very strong-minded individuals in a process, but we get along very, very well.”

Cole said that their discussions about their dances aren’t as heated as have been made out.

“You always have discussions about how you want to do it,” he explains.

“Anastacia's a very strong-minded woman – she wants to do things a certain way. And I'm a pretty strong-minded fellow! It's ultimately my decision as to what we do, so we just have discussions about things, which is what has been misconstrued and then turned into something that's completely wrong. It's very disappointing.”

The duo once again found themselves in the dance off this week, facing off against Naga Munchetty – who was sent home by the judges.

Anastacia suffered an injury in the first week of the live shows, meaning she could not perform in the dance off against Melvin Odoom when placed in the bottom two. As a result, Odoom was sent home as the contestant with the lowest number of public votes.
