A film historian’s adorable son hijacked his father’s live TV interview about the Golden Globes.

The interviewee, referred to only as Daniel, was speaking to an Al Jazeera presenter from his home in Berkeley, America, over Skype when his young son stole the show.

His father appeared on the channel to discuss a protest which saw stars attend the prestigious awards dressed in black in a show of solidarity with alleged sexual harassment victims.

The young boy pops up at his dad’s shoulder.

Initially the film historian appears embarrassed and tells the anchor: “Umm, that’s my child” while nudging the boy out of shot.

However, the interviewer, speaking from Doha, in Qatar, keeps his cool and responds: “He can come in Daniel. We’re quite happy to have youngsters on the programme too.”

Daniel then continues the interview as his little one drives a toy car across his shoulder and cuddles into his dad.

During one heartwarming moment, Daniel tells the camera that “Hollywood has never been afraid to be outspoken” before turning to his son and asking: “Right my little child?”

The boy confidently replies: “Yes”.

In the closing moments of the clip, the amused interviewer bids goodbye to the pair as the boy disappears out of shot, leaving just one hand waving behind his father’s head.

Al Jazeera English tweeted the adorable clip calling it their “BBC moment” in reference to an interview during which a professor’s two children barged into the room.

Professor Robert E Kelly was giving an interview about the political situation in South Korea when his toddler burst into the room and appeared to do a dance.

“I think one of your children’s just walked in,” the BBC presenter tells Professor Kelly.

“Pardon me, my apologies,” says the professor as the kids were rushed out.

Professor Kelly’s baby then glides into shot swiftly followed by his wife who ushers the couple’s children out of the room.
