Katharine McPhee will play her final performance as Jenna in Waitress on June 15.

The American singer and actress, who made her stage debut in the Broadway production, has been starring in the musical since it opened at the Adelphi Theatre in February. New casting for the role will be announced soon.

Booking for the show has also been extended until October 19.

Jessie Nelson’s musical, with music by Sara Bareilles, is based on a film of the same name, and tells the story of a pie-maker who dreams of baking her way out of a loveless marriage. When a new doctor arrives in town, she has the chance to make a change in her life.

David Hunter, Marisha Wallace, Jack McBrayer, Laura Baldwin and Peter Hannah are currently starring alongside McPhee, with direction from Tony Award winner Diane Paulus.
