Marilyn Monroe, who would have been 90 today, is being celebrated at a new exhibition in Fulham.

Rare and candid shots of the iconic Hollywood actress have gone on display at The Showroom Presents in Fulham, in a collaboration between online gallery ONGallery and the Playboy Club London.

The display covers 16 years of Marilyn’s life, who died of an overdose in 1962. She was 36.

The show, Happy Birthday Miss Monroe, features little-seen photographs of Monroe relaxing and fooling around, as well as official photographs that were never published – distinguishable by a crucifix in the corner, which showed the the actress didn’t care for them.

Early pictures, from 1946, were taken when Monroe was still known as Norma Jean Baker. More well-known works have also been included, among them the 'Last Sitting' images, taken by Vogue photographer Bert Stern six weeks before her death.

Elsewhere are Andy Warhol’s famous Marilyn prints, and some glamour shots from her early days, before she became a worldwide sex symbol.

The Happy Birthday Miss Monroe collection runs from June 2 to June 30 at The Showroom Presents.
