This golden oldie, 1951 version of Dickens's A Christmas Carol is on many people's list of top ten British films.

Alistair Sim is wonderful as Scrooge, the miser whose avarice and heartlessness is the cause of much sorrow.

Mervyn Johns is loveable employee Bob Cratchett and Michael Horden plays Marley, whose ghost persuades Scrooge to mend his ways.

A real Christmas treat.
