Glories of the wounded world

Paws for thought: Earth's natural glories
10 April 2012

This is a cut-and-paste version of the BBC's famous recent telly series and very much worth looking at again on the big screen.

The commentary spoken by Patrick Stewart is pretty galumphing and the musical score from George Fenton too overwhelming for comfort - but it is, however, a sight for sore eyes as various mammals migrate seemingly from one end of the earth to another.

In fact, you simply couldn't get much better than this as directors Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield, aided by their cameramen, who spent 4,500 days at 200 locations, show us the glories of the wounded world we live in.
