Fighting to the Death in The Mechanic

Gun pro: Jason Statham in The Mechanic
10 April 2012

The remake of Michael Winner's 1972 film substitutes Jason Statham for Charles Bronson and Ben Foster for Jan-Michael Vincent - and the swap isn't as deadly as you might imagine.

Statham is a professional killer who has to rub out his mentor (Donald Sutherland). Despite his guilty feelings, he then trains up Sutherland's good-for-nothing son (Foster) to be a killer too. The son doesn't know Statham has killed his father but eventually finds out. The action sequences mean a lot of explosions and much fighting to the death.
