Sports Direct tycoon Mike Ashley has still found time for his investment in online fashion firm MySale, despite his High Street spree.

Carl Jackson, chief executive of MySale, which is also backed by Sir Philip Green and lets brands such as Stylove sell left-over stock, said: “We have active engagement and dialogue with all our shareholders, including Sports Direct led by Mike Ashley.”

He added: “Chats with Mike and his team have not slowed down in recent months.”

Sports Direct holds a 5% stake in the company. The sportswear retailer agreed to buy department store chain House of Fraser in August and has been linked with deals for Debenhams and French Connection.

MySale posted a 9% revenue jump to $A 292.2 million for the year to June 30. UK sales surged 26%.

However, it saw pre-tax losses widen to $1.7 million from a $1.6 million loss. The company also said its finance chief Andrew Dingle has stepped down.

The shares fell 6.95p to 42.5p.
