Positive charge into AIM as three seek a market listing

8 July 2013

London’s junior market scored a hat-trick of new listings today as three companies confirmed plans to float on AIM.

Chargemaster, responsible for making and installing around half of Britain’s charging points for electric cars, is raising £6 million as it gears up for expansion in the UK and Europe.

The Government has committed to provide £37 million for charging points while the European Commission wants 795,000 installed by 2020, at an estimated total cost of €8 billion (£6.9 billion). The fundraising gives Chargemaster a market value of £30 million, handing a £15 million paper fortune to David Martell, founder of the Trafficmaster satnav system.

Financial adviser Perspective is seeking £28 million through an AIM listing to accelerate its programme of acquisitions. The firm has been buying up independent financial advisers compliant with the Retail Distribution Review, which abolished commission payments in favour of upfront fees.

Amsterdam-based online gaming company 24/7 Gaming, which trades under the WannaGaming brand offering casino games via mobiles and tablets, is seeking a London listing expected to value it at up to £70 million.
