Former Skype exec offers help for start-ups

London’s booming tech scene will be given another boost tomorrow as Skype’s former vice president launches a scheme to help start-ups reach investors.

Tech London Advocates (TLA) aims to help start-ups access funding and talent, as well as allowing them to learn from major tech businesses.

TLA is the idea of Russ Shaw, who has signed up 150 executives from UK and international businesses.

He said: “I want to add to the important work that is already being done to boost the city’s tech start-ups, and win the support of more global corporations and investors for tech businesses in London.”
